Welcome !

Welcome to the Troop 525 webpage!

Troop 525 was established in 1971. We are very proud to note 34 Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout!

Typically we go camping every month. We learn Scouting and Outdoor Skills such as Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Cooking and Knots, as well as practice our citizenship and community service. We work on character traits while teaching the patrol method.

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for young men from the area, together with their families, to learn responsibility, teamwork, integrity, and leadership through the principles and programs of the Boy Scouts of America.

Our troop is  a very active "Boy Run" troop, which means that the boys decide what they want to do. We meet Monday's at 7:00 pm at Corinith Christian Church on Hwy 81 in Loganville. We meet year round unless a school holiday. Class A uniform is mandatory for meetings. If you are interested in more information contact our Scout Master Scott Butler through our contact page. We look forward to an outing with you soon.

Rivers Alive (community service)

Posted on Aug 29 2015 - 7:38pm

Rivers Alive will be looking for volunteers to help clean up our local roads and water ways.  We typically support this every year.  Scouts and parents participate for about 2-3 hours.  This event will be on 17 October in Monroe Georgia.  If you are interested in participating, please email me at jacksonfr@bellsouth.net.  Scouts will receive community service credit and all volunteers normally receive a T-Shirt.  Scouts that volunteer, will need at least one parent present.  Please let me know, via email by Monday or volunteer to Scout Master, as I will not be at scouts Monday.  Thanks Carl Jackson
